Sample Holy Land Itinerary

Day 1​ - Depart to Tel Aviv

Your Holy Land experience begins today as you depart to Tel-Aviv. 

Day 2 - Arrive in Tel-Aviv

Upon arrival in Tel-Aviv, you will be met by your group, leaders, tour guide, and bus driver. They will stay with you throughout your entire journey. You will then check into your hotel for a relaxing evening to recover before the tour begins the following morning. 

Day 3 - Jaffa / Caesarea by the Sea / Mt. Carmel / Cana

The day begins with visiting nearby Jaffa/Joppa, the ancient seaport mentioned in the biblical narrative of Jonah and the Whale, and the story of Solomon’s import of the cedars of Lebanon. We will walk in this ancient city and learn about the Miracle of the resurrection of Tabitha by Peter (Acts 9:36) and visit Simon the Tanners home, which is where God told Peter to not distinguish between Jews and Gentiles (Acts 10:12). The next stop is Caesarea by the Sea or Caesarea Maritime to explore the ancient port and walk on the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.  

We will tour the ancient Roman theatre, the hippodrome, and promenade to the renovated Crusader city and home of Philip the Evangelist.  The final location of the day is Mt. Carmel where Elijah prayed down fire from heaven and defeated the 450 prophets of Baal (I Kings 18).  This is also the site to view the valley where the final battle called Armageddon will take place.

Day 4 - Boat Ride / Mt. of Beatitudes / Capernaum

We start the day by visiting Tel Dan and will then take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. This is the same Sea that Jesus walked on, calmed the storm and asked Peter to come to Him.  Over looking the Sea of Galilee is the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered his longest recorded sermon in Matthew 5-7, also known as the Sermon on the Mount.  We will drive along the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum, and will visit the synagogue and the place where early Christians remembered Peter’s house. The day ends by visiting Yardenit, a famous baptismal site, where you will have the option of being baptized in the Jordan River. You will then check into your hotel in Tiberias.

Day 5 - Nazareth Village / Jericho / Dead Sea

The day kicks off by visiting Nazareth Village, a full-scale reconstruction of life in Nazareth during the time of Jesus. The group will continue south to visit Jericho which is the oldest city in the world.  This is the location where we believe that Jesus was tempted and the walls fell by Joshua.  You will have an opportunity to ascend to the top of the mountain in a cable car giving you a breathtaking view of all of Jericho. We will head to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found and will then spend the night at a 5-star hotel at the Dead Sea where you will be able to float and enjoy the Sea.

Day 6 - Masada / En Gedi / Jerusalem

The tour commences by driving through the Jordan Valley and the Judean desert to Masada. We will take the cable car to the top, visiting Herod’s mountain palace/bunker and the last stronghold of the Jewish revolt against Rome (66-73 AD). We will then visit the historic site En Gedi, where David hid from Saul and spared his life (1 Sam. 24). Finally, the group will make its way to Jerusalem, the city of the Great King. You will then check into your hotel located right outside of the Old City.

Day 7 - Bethlehem / Israeli Museum / Yad Vashem

Starting the day by visiting the birth city of Jesus in Bethlehem, we will visit the ancient Church of the Nativity that is believed to be the place where Jesus was born. We will take some time at Shepherds Field where the Angels told the Shepherds, “Behold I bring you good news, a child is born” (Luke 2:10-11). The group will have some time to shop and purchase souvenirs at a safe and reliable retailer. We will return to Jerusalem and visit both the Israeli Museum and Yad Vashem, the holocaust museum.

Day 8 - Mount of Olives / Holy Sepulcher / Garden Tomb

Put on those walking shoes! Beginning at the Mount of Olives with a spectacular view of the Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa Mosque, located on the traditional site of the ancient Temple Mount, where God commanded Abraham to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice (Genesis 22:5 and 22:8). We then follow the traditional Palm Sunday route to the church known as Dominus Flevit (“the Lord weeps”). After viewing the Golden Gate, we will walk downhill to Gethsemane, and visit the Church of All Nations, built on the rock upon which Jesus prayed before his arrest. We enter into the Old City of Jerusalem through the Lions Gate also known as St. Stephens Gate, will visit the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed a crippled man and will also sing together in historic St. Anne’s church.  We will walk the Via Dolorosa, which means the “the way of suffering” and visit Ecce Homo “Behold the Man”, where Jesus was condemned to die.  Continuing  through the old city, we will view the Prison of Christ and the Holy Sepulcher, known to the Catholics as the place where Jesus was crucified and buried.  This memorable day concludes with a visit to Gordon’s Calvary, known as the Garden Tomb, a serene authentic first-century tomb that many believe was the site of the burial and resurrection.

Day 9 - Temple Mount / Western Wall / St. Peter in Gallicantu

he final day of touring commences by visiting Temple Mount, the 3rd holiest site to Muslims and the place where we believe that Abraham came to sacrifice Isaac.  This is also the location of the 1st and 2nd Temple.  We continue to the Western Wall also known as the wailing wall, where the Jews currently pray.  We will spend some time in the Jewish Quarter for shopping and lunch.  In the Jewish Quarter, we will visit the Jewish Temple Institute in which we will learn about the preparations being made for the building of the 3rd Temple. The group will enjoy some free time for shopping around the Jewish Quarter.  We continue to the Room of the Last Supper which is also the place of Pentecost where the Holy Spirit was first poured upon all men. The day concludes at St. Peter in Gallicantu, where Peter denied Jesus three times.

Day 10 - Travel home!

Your group will be transported back to the Ben Gurion airport in Tel-Aviv, as we make our way home full of the wonderful memories and experiences.
